What is Heart Failure?

Heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to pump enough blood and oxygen to the body's organs. Also known as congestive heart failure (CHF), is a very common heart condition. This can occur in any heart, strong or weak. Most types of heart failure are reversible.

Symptoms include shortness of breath, fatigue, leg swelling, and chest pain. Causes include coronary heart disease, heart inflammation, inheritance, high blood pressure, acquired or familial. cardiomyopathies, and fast/irregular heartbeat.
