Based on the results from your exam, additional tests or referral to a specialist may be recommended by Dr. Flaherty. These services will not be conducted at our offices and are billed separately (and reimbursed by your insurance), apart from our RHS annual fee.

Tests

• Referral for Colonoscopy: An examination of the entire colon, using a fiberoptic scope, to detect cancer, polyps, or any other abnormality.

• Referral for Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD): An examination of the entire esophagus, stomach, and early small intestine. Using a fiberoptic scope, to detect cancer, polyps, or any other abnormality.

• MRI or PET Scan: To screen for cancer and other disorders including orthopedic, back, and spine.

• CT Angiogram of Head and Neck: Determine where blockages are in neck and brain arteries if warranted.

• Spirometry with O2 Sat: Evaluates lung function to detect obstructive lung disease (asthma, bronchitis, emphysema) and restrictive lung disease.

• Hemoccult: Screens for colon cancer.
